NEW BRIGHTON, MINN. (Nov. 9, 2012) – The New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club recently received a Presidential Citation for accomplishments achieved during the 2011-2012 term of immediate past president and Risdall Marketing Group (Risdall) senior vice president, account supervisor, Glenna Dibrell. This is the second consecutive year and third time overall the club has received this distinguished honor.
The Rotary Club, an international volunteer organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian services, awards this honor only to select member clubs that meet specific requirements throughout the course of a year. While president, Dibrell and the board of directors helped bring the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club the honor of this citation by satisfying six of eight arduous criteria, including fund participation and contribution, membership increase and retention, and an increase in membership by women and young professionals.
“Because of her background in account management and strategic planning, Glenna was a natural fit for her role as president of the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club, one of the largest clubs in our district,” said John Risdall, vice chairman and CEO of Risdall, and New Brighton Rotary Club founding member. “It’s admirable to see the scope of accomplishments achieved under her leadership, and even more energizing to see her capabilities extend from her role at Risdall to a philanthropically-rooted organization like Rotary Club.”
“Working towards these goals with my fellow Rotarians was an exceptional experience and resulted in an accomplishment that couldn’t have been possible without the eagerness and tenacity of the entire New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club,” said Dibrell. “We are very proud to be the only club of the 70 participating clubs in our district, 5960, to receive this honor.”
